Learning & Development Officer
- On-site
- Gent, Oost-Vlaanderen, Belgium
- Mindshift Team
Job description
Are you a purpose-driven L&D professional with a sharp eye for organizational dynamics and a passion for creating impactful learning and ‘upskilling’ experiences? We are seeking a Learning & Development Officer to join our growing Mindshift team.
What is waiting for you?
In this highly dynamic role, you will split your time equally: spending 50% advising (or accompanying a senior) and delivering for our external clients and 50% analyzing, designing and developing L&D and consulting materials internally within Mindshift Europe. From analyzing a client's organizational culture to designing compelling upskilling roadmaps and internal Communities of Practice, you will ensure through qualitative materials our clients, and our own consultants, are equipped to turn strategy into real results.
As a L&D Officer at Mindshift, you play an active role in analyzing data or needs, designing and developing high-quality learning experiences or organizational assessments. You’ll contribute how to translate theory into practice while building engaging training materials and tools.
You’ll work closely with experienced colleagues and internal teams to support the development of strategy workshops and training programs that truly make a difference.
Your role will include:
Designing and developing learner-centered training programs across synchronous, blended, and asynchronous learning environments.
Creating and maintaining training and non-training materials such as competence assessments, coaching frameworks, learning goals, and exercises.
Building and curating assessments, project management and change management content in our learning management system (LearnWorlds).
Using our product improvement backlog to continuously enhance our learning and consulting offering.
Collaborating closely with clients in building customized upskilling and change leadership roadmaps that translate strategic goals into actionable behaviors and mindsets on the work floor.
Ensuring training materials are practical, engaging, and aligned with real-world client challenges.
Conduct with colleagues deep-dive organizational scans focusing on project culture, leadership-culture fit, and departmental dynamics to optimize strategy execution or stick to non-client-facing data analysis and creation of data-visualizations
Are you interested in giving trainings or have experience in doing so, is a plus
Why choose mindshift as your next employer?
You work on diverse and meaningful projects across industries, with real impact on people and organizations.
You operate with a high level of autonomy while being supported by a strong, collaborative team.
You continuously develop your skills through a personalized growth plan, including coaching, certifications, and training.
You receive an attractive salary package including fringe benefits such as a company car, net allowances, meal vouchers and insurances.
You enjoy flexibility, with a mix of working from our Ghent office and home working options.
You join a dynamic and entrepreneurial environment where initiative is encouraged and ideas are valued.
Job requirements
What do you bring to the table?
Fluent in Dutch and English; French is a plus.
3-7 years of hands-on L&D experience: you have a proven track record in external consulting or complex organizational environments, where your primary focus has been on the actual creation and execution of learning solutions, not just high-level planning.
A "Builder" mentality: you do not just design the upskilling roadmap; you roll up your sleeves and build it. You have extensive operational experience crafting tangible learning materials from scratch such as interactive e-learning modules, comprehensive facilitator guides, engaging slide decks, job aids, and practical workshop exercises.
Experience in conducting detailed cultural assessments and embedding large-scale change through targeted L&D interventions.
Proven ability to independently manage and advise senior client stakeholders (C-level, HR Directors).
Data-driven design & execution: you are fascinated by finding trends in data (such as cultural assessments or learning needs analyses). More importantly, you have the practical ability to immediately translate these insights into effective visualizations and ready-to-use, targeted strategic L&D interventions that make a real impact.
A strong motivation to contribute to a fast-growing, knowledge-driven team.
Don’t tick every single box? No problem! If you’re highly motivated and eager to grow, we still encourage you to apply.
Please note that the required language proficiency is non-negotiable for this role.
